My new craft room... kinda

I'll finally get my own craft room... it's a basement room and it looks horrible at the moment because it's the only room in the house we haven't worked on yet.
But I'm almost sure it will look good when it's finished... well... almost :D

It will take at least a month until it's finished or maybe even until we start... I'll "need" the room after my exams but can't work on it until they're over. But most of the work will probably be done by my father, anyway.

Ich bekomme endlich mein eigenes Arbeit-/Nähzimmer... es ist ein Kellerraum und sieht aktuell noch etwas zum fürchten aus, weil wir ihn (als einzigen Raum im Haus) noch nicht renoviert haben.
Aber ich bin mir fast sicher, dass er am Ende gut aussehen wird... nun ja... fast :D

Es wird allerdings noch mindestens einen Monat dauern bis der Raum fertig ist bzw. sogar bis wir richtig anfangen. Ich "brauche" den Raum nach meiner Gesellenprüfung und kann auch erst dann richtig daran arbeiten.  Das meiste wird aber wahrscheinlich sowieso mein Vater machen.

One of them is a fake and it's actually NOT me on the photo... can you guess which one?




Auf meiner Festplatte habe ich einige alte und etwas neuere Fotos entdeckt und dachte mir, ich poste mal ein paar davon.
Eins davon ist ein Fake und ich bin nicht wirklich drauf - ratet mal, welches ;)

Happy Towel Day! + New stuff

It's Towel Day! I forgot to take a towel with me when I went out today, instead I thought I'd let my dress form share the towel love with you :D



I've started to translate my online shop at vondir - or at least the item descriptions. I've only just started, so the newer items have an English description while the older ones don't. I'll work on those translations in the next few weeks.

And of course I made some new accessories - a hair ribbon and a necklace with a locket.





Heute ist Towel Day! Ich hatte leider heute kein Handtuch dabei als ich draußen war, aber meine Schneiderpuppe darf ein bisschen Handtuchliebe verbreiten ;)

Als kleine Fleißarbeit habe ich angefangen die Artikelbeschreibungen in meinem vondir-Shop zu übersetzen, ich hätte gerne von allem eine englische Version. Das wird noch dauern...

Und natürlich hab ich wieder neue Accessoires gebastelt: eine Kette mit Herz-Medallion und eine Haarschleife.

Not exactly new, but...

This outfit isn't really new, but I thought I'd share it here, anyway. I haven't posted any Lolita outfits yet and that's my newest. I'd love to sew more lolita outfits and I have loads of ideas and pretty fabrics, I just don't have enough time.
That's why I make so many small projects like hair ribbons or jewelry - they don't take much time ^^

The skirt, headpiece, ribbon and necklace are handmade.



Das Outfit ist nicht wirklich neu, aber ich möchte es trotzdem mal hier zeigen. Bisher habe ich ja noch kein Lolita-Outfit hier gezeigt, also zeige ich einfach mal das neuste. Ich würde so gerne mehr Lolita Sachen nähen und habe jede Menge Ideen plus passende Stoffe, allerdings aktuell nicht so viel Zeit.
Aus diesem Grund mache ich aktuell eher kleine Sachen wie Haarschleifen und Schmuck - geht einfach schneller ^^

Der Rock, das Headpiece, die Schleife und die Kette sind selbstgemacht.

School Work vs Living Room

My final exam will be in a bit more than a week - and guess who has not started to study yet? Yeah, right.
Yesterday I thought it was about time to at least sort all my papers neatly into my ring binder - which I actually wanted to do during the school year, but always lost interest after a while xD

Because my room is a complete mess and I (literally) didn't have enough space for the sorting I decided to turn my sister's and my living room into yet another mess.
What can I say? I succeeded!





I tidied up after I was finished, but of course I forgot to take nice photos afterwards.
Just to show you that our living room is actually quite pretty I took some photos of the corners that were not occupied by my school work ^^

In etwas mehr als einer Woche habe ich meine schriftliche Prüfung - und ratet mal, wer noch nicht gelernt hat. Ja, genau.
Gestern habe ich dann beschlossen dass es mal Zeit wird, wenigstens meinen Papierkram zu sortieren und in meinen Ordner zu packen, den ich eigentlich schon seit einem Jahr richtig ordentlich führen wollte. Dummerweise habe ich daran immer wieder das Interesse verloren xD

Weil mein eigenes Zimmer gerade fast nicht betretbar ist und ich absolut keinen Platz zum sortieren hatte, habe ich eben auch das Wohnzimmer von meiner Schwester und mir systematisch verwüstet.
Hat funktioniert.

Ganz gegen meine Gewohnheit hab ich nachher auch wieder aufgeräumt, aber natürlich vergessen Beweisfotos davon zu machen.
Damit ihr aber einen Eindruck von unserem eigentlich ganz hübschen Wohnzimmer habt, habe ich noch ein paar Fotos von den schulzeugfreien Ecken gemacht ^^

As I've said before: the last week was pretty stressful, so I didn't make many new items. Actually I think it's quite relaxing to make small items after a long and stressful day, but most of the days I didn't have enough time.
I made two new hair ribbons, though.

Wie bereits angekündigt, hatte ich letzte Woche reichlich Stress, deswegen habe ich nicht viele neue Teile machen können. Eigentlich finde ich es ja sehr entspannend, abends noch eine Kleinigkeit zu machen, aber an den meisten Abenden hatte ich keine Zeit dafür.

My newest work is a simple, black choker with a pretty cameo charm.
I should really make more of those chokers, they're so much fun! And of course, they're not too much work xD



I'm currently staying at my boyfriend's place, so I won't make anything new the next few days. Next week is probably gonna be really stressful, we'll have a practice exam at school.
For normal school days I usually have to take the bus at 6:09 and return home at about 16:50, next week it will be 18:50 or later. Which means I'll be away for at least 13 hours a day ;_; Not much free time, either.
I'm really looking forward to the exams being over - although this means that I'll be done with school and I'm almost sure I'm gonna miss it xD

Fascinators

Last year I designed some mini hats / fascinators made of wire and torn fabric.
I made some new ones recently because they're fun to make and I like they way they always turn out different than the last one.

Here are the newest ones:

For this fascinator I used torn lace and a large ribbon made of tulle.


This piece was made of melted organza, satin ribbon and a feather.

I've planned to start a blog for my DIY-stuff for a while - and I think now it's about time.
I spend so much time making jewelry and clothes, so I need a little space to show them to the world =)

Today I made some Steampunk inspired jewelry again and decided that those pieces were the perfect first post for a new blog - so here we go!

I've made three brooches and a charm, they're made of polymer clay, premade settings (except for the heart, of course) and some old watch/clock parts.
